INCITS W1
The InterNational Committee on Information
Technology (INCITS) W1 is a technical standards committee that
functions as the US Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to the International
Standards Organization / International Electrotechnical Commission
(ISO/IEC) JTC 1, Information Technology, Subcommittee 28 on Office
Equipment. The W1 scope spans the standardization of scanner, printers,
facsimile equipment, copiers and multifunction devices and associated
consumables. One focus of the
committee's activities is office equipment image quality,
performance and usability . The INCITS W1 develops the
US positions for international test and evaluation office equipment
standards. The standards meet the need for neutral performance
and quality metrics. They provide neutral benchmarks for
evaluating and communicating office equipment performance and quality.
